The ETBC supports Boater Education and Safety
Boater Education Support
Most of our ETBC members own a boat. and many of our members are very experienced boaters. If you are new to boating or just bought a boat and are not 100% confident on how to handle that boat, the ETBC can be an excellent resource for you to learn how your boat operates and how to handle your boat safely. The more comfortably and safely you handle your boat, the more fun you and all your guests will have on board.
While we do not offer boating classes to the general public, experienced members of our club will be glad to spend time with inexperienced club members teaching them the basics of operating your boat’s equipment and safe boat handling. Many members will be glad to go on informal ride-alongs on our lakes to help you understand the in's and out's of your new boat.
For those members who want to delve more into boat handling, maintenance, off-shore cruising, etc., many of our experienced members can steer you towards in-depth boat handling, navigation courses or off-shore boating experiences and classes.
If you would like to learn more about how to handle your boat more confidently and safely, please contact our Education/Safety Director listed here .
Life Jacket Loaner Initiative
